Children and Family

In our ministry with children and families, our goal is to help families find their way back to God, connect with others, and contribute to changing the world. Look, we know how hard at can be out there in today's world.  Our hope is we can help you navigate your way through this thing, and to keep you connected to God and each other!   Help us help you.  Share with us how we can help!  If you have an idea, we are all ears and willing to make it happen!   Bear Creek wants to walk with you in any way we can!

At Bear Creek, families aren't our future...they are our NOW!

Here at Bear Creek we are dedicated to surrounding you and your children with God's love!   If there's one thing we want you to know and your child to know is that you are an incredible gift!   Now look, I know it may not feel like that sometimes.  We know what it's like to get those children up, dressed, and out the door on a Sunday morning!  It's work!  That's why if you get here late because of a child who can't seem to get in gear, there is no judgement here!  We are just glad you made it.  And our hope is that once you get here you can relax and enjoy someone being there for you and your children.  Sit back, grab a latte, and relax in God's house of grace for a while!  Rest on the truth that you are not alone!

What happens on Sunday morning for kids?

Each Sunday, we invite children to stay in church with their families until the Pastor Brook does the "Children's Moment".  After that, parents can take their children to the appropriate classroom. The younger children (5 and under) go to the "Playroom" to experience a short game or craft emphasizing our belief in compassion and love, and then there is plenty of time to wiggle and play with friends. Older children head to the multi-age classroom for a Sunday school lesson, crafts, and songs. Parents return at the end of the service to check out their children before heading to the lobby for fellowship time, snacks, and coffee.

Thank you so much for helping us as we strive to make our Child's Play Ministry a safe environment for your kids to learn about God!

VBS 2023 was so much fun!

We had such a fun time learning about how God provides through our Food Truck Party! We learned about manna and quail (we even learned how to spell them!). We heard about Jesus feeding the 5000. We sang songs, did science experiments, crafts, had snacks, played games (including water games!), and had a special visit from a trained scent-sniffer dog.  What a great week! Stay tuned for next year.

Working with anyone under the age of 18 at Bear Creek requires a full background check and Sexual Abuse Awareness Training.
