• Mothers Day Baskets

    Due May 3

Please pick up your basket (and list of suggested items to put in it) in the lobby this Sunday. We’re trying to spread joy for moms that need a little extra help. We need about 65 in total, so please return them by May 3rd so they can be distributed ahead of the holiday. Don’t have time to shop? Cash donations through our website work too, and we will do the shopping on 5/3 after church. Want to help? We could use extra hands with shopping or dropping off the baskets in Kirkland. See Mimi, Karen, or Danielle after church if you have questions.

    Ways to contribute:

    1. Pray for the recipients of these baskets and their families.
    2. Take a basket and fill it with items a mother would enjoy receiving--specific requests were “home spa items”*.
    3. You didn’t take a basket, but you have items from home that would be a nice addition to a basket. Bring them in by MAY 3 and they’ll be placed in a basket!
    4. You don’t have time to fill a basket and don’t have items at home, but you would like to help. Monetary donations will be gladly accepted online or by check!

Here are some ideas for gifts:

    • Books

WAYS TO SERVE AND GIVE BACK

  • Move-in Ministry

Do you have lightly-used or new small household items sitting around? Donate them to help a family coming out of housing insecurity as they move into a safe space. Bring items (no furniture, please) to the church and they will be taken over to the donation center so people moving into secure housing can "shop" for items they need.

  • Bring a dish for safe parking

We regularly provide meals for the families living in their cars at Safe Parking @ LWUMC.

Any questions or if you are interested in providing a meal in the future, please contact Betsy McClelland

  • Join a Serve Team!

    Bear Creek runs on volunteers!

If you're looking for a way to get involved, join a serve team on Sunday mornings. Reach out to Sonya G or the church office to find out where you might fit! You can complete a contact form here.
