    Get the littles ready for Halloween! This fun event is always a hit. We'll decorate cars and hand out candy! Hot cocoa and cider, photo booth, and fun activities for kids of all ages. 

  • All church lunch & Charge Conference

    Our annual gratefulness potluck and Charge Conference will be on Sunday, Nov 15 after worship. We will have Pastor Lee Carney Hartman from Monroe UMC will be with us to guide our Charge conversation.

  • All Saints Day

    Sun, Nov 1 @ 10am

    On Sunday, November 1st, we will celebrate All Saints' Day in worship. All Saints' Day is an occasion to honor and be strengthened by what the Bible calls our "great cloud of witnesses" (Heb 12:1), those ancestors, spiritual luminaries, and personal heroes who have walked the road of life and faith ahead of us and now surround us with their love and wisdom. I invite you to bring a small photograph of a departed loved one to place on the Communion Table as a part of this service. During the Communion liturgy, I will speak aloud the names of those in our church family who have passed away since this time last year. Then I will open the space for each of you to speak the name of those who are in your "cloud." 


    Being new, I need your help to make sure that I do not miss anybody. If your loved one has passed away in the past year, please send their full name, birth and death dates, and a picture of them to Mona Chicks at office@bcumc.org. Your loved one does not need to have been a member of our congregation.


    Finally, if you are worshipping with us online, I encourage you to create your own altar at home with a candle, pictures of your saints, and any other objects that remind you that you are held in a communion that transcends time and space.

    A group for women of all ages, focusing on Bible study and relationship-building. Every Tuesday at 10am. We ARE meeting through the summer.

    Weekly on Sundays @ 11:15am

    Each Sunday after worship, we go deeper on the topic of the day. No prep required, just come and share your thoughts! We learn best together. Through May.

WAYS TO SERVE AND GIVE BACK

  • Move-in Ministry

    Do you have lightly-used or new small household items sitting around? Donate them to help a family coming out of housing insecurity as they move into a safe space. Bring items (no furniture, please) to the church and they will be taken over to the donation center so people moving into secure housing can "shop" for items they need. 

  • Bring a dish for safe parking

    We regularly provide meals for the families living in their cars at Safe Parking @ LWUMC.
